It is our aim to know God as he has revealed himself in the Scriptures, to love and serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and to make him known to all peoples. Today at EFCMM
• We welcome former Associate Pastor Jonathan Pennington and family to our services this morning. Jonathan will lead a combined adult Sunday School class as well as bring the message today.
• Small Group Sign-Up Continues: We have chosen the book You Can Change, by Tim Chester as our small group curriculum for the year. We want everyone in our church family to read the book, and we recommend that you participate in a small group to gain the most benefit from it. Sign-up for the small group of your choice at the table in the foyer and pick up a copy of the book.
• Invitation Cards for Teaching Series on Genesis: Invite your friends and neighbors to our teaching series on Genesis, which begins September 12th! Stop by the Welcome Center to pick up the invitations.
• Youth Group will meet at 5:00 p.m. at the CE Center.
This Week at EFCMM
• Holiday Office Hours: The church office will be closed on Tuesday, September 7th, for Labor Day. Ladies’ Prayer Circle will NOT meet.
• New Ministry – Moms In Touch™ group, led by Cindy Belleque. First session will be this Wednesday, Sept. 8th, at 8:00 a.m. in the CE Center.
• New Ministry – Puppet Team for 6th-12th grade students. Orien-tation will be Wednesday, September 8th, at 6:00 p.m. in the CE Center.
• Women’s Sewing Group Resumes: Wednesday, September 8th, 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. All ladies are invited to bring a project you are working on and enjoy fellowship at the same time! Please let Mary Brokaw or Sue Rogers know if you plan to attend.

Items for Rockford Rescue Mission: When our Vanguards tour the rescue mission on Sept. 22nd, we want their arms to be overflowing with items we are donating to the mission. Please read the insert for a list of urgently needed items and bring what you can donate to the Welcome Center.
